I've always thought it'd be cool to be like Castle.

At the same time, my two daughters are starting to grow up, and I figured this could be a nice, laid-back way to pass on some of what I’ve learned.

I also wanted to see if it’s possible for someone from a random little spot on the map, speaking Czech, to actually get a book out there. I’ve been exporting IT services and software my whole life — this is just my next shot at sending a story, some know-how, and a bit of passion from Czechia to the rest of the world.

Sure, there are plenty of folks who are more well-known or have made it bigger, but I wanted to write this in a way that speaks not just to my daughters, but to the other 8 billion people who aren’t in the spotlight (yet) — and maybe give them a little push to head out on their own path.
Note:

And a special thanks to a kind lady from Dubai working for Forbes Business Council, who gave me the push I needed to finally go for it.

I’m not a Silicon Valley star or some business guru — just a guy from a small Czech village who’s been building things from scratch for over 20 years.

I’ve co-founded a few companies, helped more than 200 factories get smarter with tech, and managed to keep going even when things got rough.

These days, I run Productoo and Itica, where we help manufacturers and mid-sized businesses go digital — without all the buzzwords. I genuinely believe that big things can come from ordinary people… especially the stubborn ones.
